We have a significant
amount of influence - influence to do the right thing for our
neighborhood. This is a speculative project requiring
approval of several entities, and then the approval for public
financing. It is not a “done deal”.
This is a speculative project, as opposed to a company headquarters,
a specific retail store, or a Westin Hotel being developed. A hotel
has not committed to the project, and neither have condominium owners
nor renters.
Regardless of the developer’s intentions, the practical outcome
is that our support will be used to sell this project
and gain city approval and public financing. This is not a criticism
of Wilson Development, this is just the practical outcome.
This is a tentative project for the reasons listed below and
later in this discussion.

Short
