Southmoreland Neighborhood Association

The Southmoreland neighborhood is located in midtown Kansas City, spanning from 39th Street south to 47th Street (Cleaver II Boulevard), and from Main Street east to Gillham and Rockhill Roads.

Developed around the turn of the 20th century, Southmoreland has a rich history and strong sense of community. The Southmoreland Neighborhood Association was established in 1973 to represent and strengthen the neighborhood. Within the broader Southmoreland area lies the Southmoreland Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
